Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains how billing, cancellations, and refunds work for VideoKavach ("we", "our", "us"). It applies alongside our Terms of Service. By subscribing to a paid plan or purchasing an add-on, you agree to this policy.

2. Subscription Billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance — monthly or annually — in Indian Rupees (INR) via our payment processor.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • Prices are exclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise.

3. Cancelling Your Subscription

  • You can cancel at any time from your billing settings — no email or phone call required.
  • On cancellation, your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for. You will not be billed again.
  • When the period ends, your account moves to the Free plan. Storage and bandwidth above the Free limits may become unavailable, so please export or reduce content beforehand if needed.

4. Refunds on Subscriptions

  • 7-day first-purchase guarantee. If you are unhappy with your first paid subscription, email us within 7 days of that initial charge and we'll refund it in full.
  • Renewals and later periods. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods or for renewal charges. Cancelling stops future billing; it does not refund the current period.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Banks typically take 5–10 business days to reflect the credit.

5. Add-on Packs & AI Credits

  • One-time add-on purchases (extra storage, bandwidth, or AI wallet credits) are charged immediately.
  • Storage and bandwidth add-ons are tied to your current billing period and expire with it.
  • AI wallet credits (used for transcription, translation, and dubbing) are non-refundable once consumed, since each call incurs a real third-party cost. Unused credits can be refunded within 7 days of purchase on request.

6. Exceptions

Refunds are not available where there is evidence of abuse, fraud, violation of our Terms of Service (for example, uploading infringing content or attempting to bypass security features), or excessive use followed by a refund request. We review such cases individually and in good faith.

7. How to Request a Refund

Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with your registered email and the reason for the request. We aim to respond within 2 business days and to process approved refunds within 5–10 business days.
