Built to keep your videos yours
Your lessons are your livelihood. VideoKavach wraps them in several independent layers of protection — so a single leaked link, shared login, or screen recording can't hand your course to the world.
Six layers, working together
No single trick stops piracy. Real protection comes from stacking defences so that getting past one still leaves a pirate stuck at the next.
Locked-up video files
Every video is scrambled (AES-128 encrypted) before it's stored. Even if someone got hold of the raw files, they're useless without the key — and the key is handed out only to verified players, one short-lived piece at a time.
Each viewer's name on the screen
Their email, phone, or student ID floats over the video as it plays. If a recording ever leaks, the watermark points straight at who shared it — a strong deterrent that stops most leaks before they happen.
Plays only on your website
You decide which websites are allowed to show your videos. Try to embed the link anywhere else and it simply won't play. Copy-pasting the link into a new browser tab gets the would-be pirate nothing.
No simultaneous sharing
You can cap how many devices watch from the same account at once. One login can't be passed around a WhatsApp group and used by fifty people in parallel.
Links that expire in minutes
The address each player uses to fetch video is signed and self-destructs after a few minutes. A link copied from the network tab is dead almost immediately — there's nothing durable to share.
A trail for every play
We log who watched what, from where, and when. If a leak does occur, you have the forensic trail to identify the source and act on it.
STRAIGHT_TALK
We won't over-promise
No company can honestly claim a video on the open web is impossible to copy — anyone telling you otherwise is selling a myth. Someone determined enough can always point a second camera at a screen.
What VideoKavach does is remove every easyroute — bulk downloads, shared links, passed-around logins — and make whatever remains traceable back to a specific account. For coaching institutes and course creators, that's the difference between a course that spreads freely and one that stays with paying students.
Security questions, answered
Can students download my videos?+
There is no normal way to. The files are encrypted, the streaming links expire within minutes, and screen-recording is discouraged by the viewer's own identity being stamped across every frame. No web-based video system is 100% un-rippable, but VideoKavach removes the easy paths and makes the rest traceable — which is what actually stops piracy in practice.
What stops someone from copying the embed link and sharing it?+
Two things. First, the video only plays on the websites you've allowed, so the link is useless elsewhere. Second, the underlying streaming addresses are signed and expire in minutes, so even a freshly copied link stops working almost immediately.
How does the watermark help?+
It displays the viewer's own identity (email, phone, or a student ID you pass in) over the video. If a screen recording surfaces, you can read the watermark and know exactly which account it came from. Knowing their name is on the screen stops most people from recording in the first place.
Is this DRM?+
No — and that's deliberate. Hollywood-grade DRM (Widevine/FairPlay) is expensive, adds device-compatibility headaches, and is overkill for coaching and course content. VideoKavach uses strong encryption plus identity watermarking and access controls, which covers the real-world threat for educators at a fraction of the cost.
Where is my content stored, and who can see it?+
Your videos are encrypted at rest on object storage and served over HTTPS. You retain full ownership. We never use your content for anything other than delivering it to your viewers, and each account's data is isolated from every other account's.
What happens if there's a leak anyway?+
You have a play-by-play log — which account watched, from which network, and when — plus the watermark on the leaked copy itself. Together those let you identify the source and take action (warn, suspend, or pursue the account).
